Alumni Involvement
Your undergraduate brothers can benefit greatly from your involvement at the chapter level. You will also benefit from it as well; because when you assist young Acacians in their pursuit of a positive fraternal experience, you’ll strengthen the ties of friendship in new and meaningful ways.
We are actively looking for Alumni to volunteer their time to be mentors for Cornerstones: The Membership Development Program of Acacia Fraternity. It is an excellent opportunity to get involved. Please contact us to learn more!
Here are a few suggestions for areas where your involvement can make a difference:
Alumni mentor

Rush
Be it recommending candidates for membership, hosting rush functions, providing financial backing, and/or sponsoring a rush seminar or retreat, the benefits to the active chapter of alumni involvement in rush cannot be overstated.
Scholarship
From financial rewards to advising study programs, alumni involvement in our undergraduate brothers’ all-important academic responsibilities can have a profound impact on their success, both now and throughout their lives.
Chapter Programming
Sponsor presentations to the chapter on matters of interest to them as they prepare to launch their careers. Volunteer to bring your own unique insights or perhaps even those of an esteemed colleague.
Building Association
A viable building association works with the undergraduate chapter to provide quality housing and preserve the house as an asset. Contact your chapter’s building association to ascertain areas in which they need participation.
Summer Jobs & Internships
Are you in a position to provide summer employment, or do you know someone who is? Helping undergraduate Acacians gain valuable experience during the summer break will make an enormous difference in their lives and careers.
Ritual
Help impart a deep understanding of the ideals of our ritual to your undergraduate brothers by observing or participating in the initiation ceremonies.
Brother, Mentor, Friend
Write a note of congratulations or encouragement to an individual or to the entire chapter. Listen to a younger brother’s hopes, dreams or concerns. Attend a chapter meeting. State your views on an issue. Take part in a chapter dinner. These are just a few of the infinite number of simple ways you can extend the hand of brotherhood to the undergraduate members of your chapter. They will be better men for the experience. And so will you.
